FAQ
Straight answers on protocols, privacy, offline use, AI, and review.
Can I track compounds, peptides, and TRT protocols?
Yes. Add any product to Inventory—vitamins, peptides, TRT meds, or custom compounds—then log dose, time, and notes from Today. Use custom categories when a compound doesn’t fit a preset. Vitalog records what you enter; dosing and medical decisions stay with you and your clinician.
Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?
Core inventory, logs, and profile data stay on your device (SwiftData). There is no Vitalog cloud account required for everyday use. Delete data by clearing content in-app where available, or by uninstalling the app. For a formal deletion request, email support with your device model and app version.
Does Vitalog work offline?
Yes for core logging. Inventory, daily entries, history, and widgets use on-device storage and work without a network connection. Optional AI features (label scan, chat) need internet and a provider API key you configure in Profile.
How do AI label scan and the health assistant work?
Photograph a label to prefill fields, or chat with optional AI context from your logs. You bring your own keys (e.g. Grok, OpenAI, Gemini) under Profile → API keys. Always review AI output before saving. Calls go from your device to the provider you choose—not through a Vitalog AI backend.
How do I set up the Home Screen widget?
Open Vitalog once so it can write the shared snapshot, then add the Vitalog Today widget from the Home Screen gallery. It shows today’s log count, inventory size, and items expiring soon. If it looks stale, open the app, force-quit and reopen, or remove and re-add the widget.
Is there an account? Can I export my data?
No account is required for inventory, daily log, or other core features. There is no invite or beta code. For export help or a copy of what you’ve stored, contact support with your iOS version, device, and app build—we’ll walk you through what’s available on-device.
Is Vitalog medical advice or a medical device?
No. Vitalog is an educational and organizational tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace clinical care. Lab interpretation, compound selection, and dosing belong with a licensed clinician. Always follow your prescribed protocol.
What should App Reviewers know?
No login or beta code is required. Accept the first-launch disclaimer, then use Inventory, Today, scanner, AI (with a key if needed), Profile, and the widget. Support email: tech.swsw@gmail.com. Sample data may appear on first launch to demonstrate the product.
